Tempranillo is the most prestigious and outstanding grape variety in Spain. It owes its name to the early ripeness in contrast to other grape varieties. In other Regions of Spain it is known by different names, Tinto Fino, Tinta del Pais, Tinta de Toro, Cencibel, Ull de Lebre or Tinta de Roriz in Portugal.
